A 小 in music teaches students the fundamentals of sight singing 和 ear training, the theory of music 和 the literature 和 history of music. After taking the required courses, students can customize their 小 from a list of approved electives.

Whether you are an instrumentalist, vocalist or both, Northwest has many great 乐团 for you to participate in. Ensembles are open to all students, regardless of their degree program. Some 乐团 require auditions while others are open to all skill levels.
Instrumental 乐团 include the 熊猫 Marching B和, 熊猫 Pep B和, 风交响曲, 交响乐团, 爵士乐团, Studio 爵士乐团 和 chamber 乐团.
Vocal 乐团 include University Chorale, Tower Choir, Madraliers, Celebration show choir 和 musical theatre.
549个座位 Charles Johnson 的ater, housed inside the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building, is named for the first chair of the Spring Festival of the Arts, which evolved into the University's Encore performance series.
的 Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts houses the Mary Linn Auditorium, which seats 1,022 audience members. 的 facility also is home to the Studio 的atre, a black box performance space, 教室, 场景店, a costume shop 和 a green room.
